1000 mobile phones. 2000 texts. One song.

Symphonia

Symphonia – Watch the Making Part I

Symphonia – Watch the Making Part II

We wanted to create something unique – an original way of playing a piece of classical music. We put together a production team and found our music producer named Jol – who was just as excited about the experiment as we were.

The idea was simply to use a collection of mobile phones with TXT alerts that – when received in the sequence – created a symphony : Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture. It took 53 different ringtone alerts. Timed to imperfection. After a lot of practice it actually worked and Symphonia is the result. View the sequences here.

Downloads are availiable for you on the right. Either choose to download the full track of Symphonia MP3 file or the entire 53 ringtones used to create Symphonia in a ZIP file to your computer. You can also choose to download the MP3 format ringtone by TXTing "SYMPHONIA" to 5483.

It's amazing what you can do.

TXT "SYMPHONIA" to 5483
and we'll send you a link to download Symphonia to
your mobile. Data charges apply.
